While one can view this beautiful fall from Glacier Point with binoculars, the best way to really experience this fall is to hike the Mist Trail to its base, or better still is to climb the many rock stairs to the top of this 317 foot drop. This is one fall that never dries up even in the worst drought years. The most exciting time to visit the fall is during the spring runoff as the previous winter’s snow melts. The spring of 2009 was a very high runoff year and this photo shows the fall at its very best.
