Water Reflection Photograph

Mariana Canet' photographs reflect and refract the reality. The light waves bend as they pass into different mediums in which the energy travels at a distinct speed, causing refraction. In her photos the real is reflected at the same time reproduced, distorted, diverted, fold back on itself. In this way, Mariana Canet shows in each of the photos the reality in different forms, as the real diversifies itself. The artist leaves the reflection open if what we see is in fact the reality. The encouragement of the freedom to create and to perceive subjects, the world and even life itself with no limit is showed at Mariana Canet' work. Mariana Canet often sees the transcendent, photographing a part of the whole, for instance, when capturing reflections on the water. In this way, her imagination goes beyond endless possibilities. Her photographs reveal the infinity, the indefinite, unsolved, vague that cannot be expressed in words. Her photographs are not only photographs but art itself. All we see is always part of the whole which is open to multiple interpretations. What's yours? The Brazilian photographer Mariana Canet has a Master's degree in Marketing and degree in Business. She started her professional career working in Marketing, but fortunately decided to pursue her dream in Photography. After taking some documentary photos in Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Laos, Mariana realised that photographing the abstract, the indefinite and the unlimited is her real passion.
