Bomarea dulcis is a special species of its genera that grows only in the Andean Highlands of Peru and parts of Bolivia. Locally known as Sullu Sullu, it is recognized for its abortifacient properties. Some researchers believe that the ancient Inca empire may have employed the use of the Bomarea dulcis plant as a means to control and restrict the reproductive choices of specific groups of women who served the emperor. The photograph was taken on the slopes of the Chicon mountain in Cusco region of Peru, at a height of approximately 4000 meters. - The photo will be printed on high quality Fine Art paper, signed and numbered. - It has overall limited edition of 15 plus 1 Artist Proof.

My playful curiosity with a camera goes back to childhood. I took my first photograph at the age of 6, trying to use an analogue camera to take a photo of my grandma, which later, after printing, appeared to be that I just captured her violet slippers. For me, photography has always been a profound means of exploration. Through the lens, I not only unravel the mysteries of the world around me, but also embark on a journey into my inner world. It is an adventurous creative trip into wonders, surprises and the heart of subjects. Having also been actively involved in teaching and playing music over the years, I perceive photography as a piece of music. Each image I capture is akin to a music composition, with nuanced tones, variations, and rhythms that resonate within me. Despite my professional commitment as a researcher and now as an engineer, my dedication to photography has always remained a vital and significant part of my life, an art form through which I continue to explore, grow, and craft visual stories. It is not always as simple as it seems to keep going with photo projects, but I am very lucky to have a patient wife who always has her fresh ideas in her mind to support the work and help me organize my projects.
