Statement: Peace is not something to be achieved, it is already in you. You are pregnant with love, you are made of the stuff called love. Nothing has to be achieved – only a certain awareness, a self-awareness. Description: I named the digital artwork ‘Who You Really Are’ because you are the only person you will spend all of your time with, and for you to live your life purposefully, it is important to know who you truly are. There is no order of difficulty in miracles and the universe re-calibrates when something loveless was done because the heart of God desires the best for us. I was born and raised in Vanderbijlpark, a small town in the Gauteng Provence of South Africa, in 1969. It's a heavily industrialised area where the sky is pale, grey, or brown. Not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, a friend suggested I further my education in photography. It was then that I found an outlet to the pressing need for expression, without the misunderstood external gesticulations that limit the souls' expression. The purpose behind my work is to share what I have learned, i.e. with every experience, the good and the bad, life loves, teaches, incubates, protects, nurtures, and sets us free to live and prosper if we so choose. At the age of 48, I left my hometown and moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where I currently reside, and the sky is always blue.
