The following is a writing made on the depiction of this artwork: I have not seen the leaves change, nor the first of a snowfall, I have not felt the seasons come the way they used to. A long time has passed since I could close my eyes and stick out my tongue for the frosty flakes to land, or lay under the starry night sky in the countryside. The time has changed, the days are different, sunset and sunrise comes and goes too quickly. The way the air smelled as spring made its entrance is no longer desirable, it’s dead and dry. I have not lost hope, I continue to wait, to walk down this rocky road, my hair loose, my feet damp, my skin chilled as the musty air and the unsteady stream become whole with me, making me feel and breathe and love again. ©Lily Zara
