This image was taken during an experimental period when I was trying to change the way in which I interpreted the landscape. The photograph was taken at a party, I looked over the balcony and was intrigued by the way the artificial lighting lit the foreground. I was inspired to take the original image by Neil Harbisson the cyborg artist who perceives skin tone in different shades of orange. The later stages of the image were inspired in some part by Gerhart Richter. The work should make the viewer contemplate their environment and perceive it in a different way. The image was exhibited at an outside installation I curated in 2016.

I was born in London but now live near Brighton. My main area of practice is landscape photography although I do some portrait work and experiment with still life. I hope to capture moments of intimacy within landscapes. Often dark and sometimes nihilistic it is an existential look at everyday life.
