About The Artwork

almost all of us really dislike the intrusion of these galvanised, assembled steel structures. marching alien like, scattered across the surface of the earth. scarring the landscape, made worse by the connotations of governmental mismanagement, rumblings of potential corruption and greed. 'an ugly necessity' someone said: the energy is needed, wanted by the people that life supporting necessity possibly exploited by others. the interlocked spars remind me of the meccano set i was given as a child. there's beauty within these gentle soulless giants. they dance as well as march . under the silver coloured structures, positioning, to find almost perfect symmetry. on my back, at peace, in some strange space. the hum of the electrical current overhead, sometimes wind howling, aluminium cables slightly swaying. then i get up and realise people are staring at me. ******** limited edition of 8 prints. seven available
