The series 'timescapes' is a body of work which is based on photographic high resolution scans of various inks and and other liquids. During the long drying process, residues of ink gradually settle at the edges and gather around microscopic particels on the surface toform multiple layers of paint and structures. Sometimes organic patterns emerge, sometimes the paint layers itself, creating the impression of shadows and highlights. Even though beeing applied on a flat surface the structures seem to be creating a feeling of depth. It is as if, through its decay, the 4th dimension - time - is trying to reveal itself. Embodying itself in a spacial representation of its hidden nature. Screaming out of eternity, presenting itself in a visual way, visible to the human observer.
