(The electric shaver is a fantastic factory of pigment, as I found out three years ago. Since then, I have been acumulating this auto-produced pigment and using it in auto-portraits that sohow parts of my body that have some significance to me. As in Opalka's paintings, I imagine that my figures in this serie will become gray, and whiter overtime))

After some brief courses with artists in Brazil (Charles Watson, Rubem Grillo), I joined the Arts Institute at Universidade de Braslia, brazilian capital.
I intend to mix concept and representations, process and meaning in my works, which pay a big tribute to material.I am interested also in the so called garbage, residues/remainders that are also a reminder of how we live or what we do, day by day. Things that have meaning, despite we are not concerned about.
I aim the transfiguration _ not only of the commonplace, but also of the everyday life.
My current work deals with themes such as memory, abjection, the self and my own history.
