About The Artwork
This woodcut is carved from 2 blocks and printed ala poupee’. I was inspired to use the Amanita Muscaria mushrooms on a recent residency in Dyea, Alaska. I arrived in time for one of the most abundant mushroom fruiting seasons in years and made many photographs, paintings, drawings and prints using the ever fascinating mushrooms as live models for my images. I hope to inspire my audience to marvel at the beauty of the natural world around us. This print comes unframed, but if you contact me I am happy to frame the piece for you.
