About The Artwork
This is a monotype print (one only) and measures 11"x14" on 16"x20" paper. Akua Intaglio inks were used on Strathmore 400 series printmaking paper. Hand pressed. Note that main image does not show signature and title underneath - see detail photo's for these. The title is "Ansel's Aspens" because immediately after completing this I realised that Ansel Adams, whose photographs I have always loved, took a photo very similar to this a few decades ago. As a day-dreaming teenager I fancied myself globe-trotting with a 5x7 plate camera and taking photo's wherever I went. Then I grew up and life happened.
