The sky was blue turning to gray. I walked back into the print room and heard thunder. Looking out the window, I saw a thick mist which seemed to have a floating figure within. Studying mythology I recalled a time in childhood when a man was talking about Christ's resurrected body ascending upwards. I painted the inks onto plexiglass and rolled it through the press.

Yesteryears and future ears, welcome to Golgotha. All and one and one for Magdalene. May you prosper on paper, pen in hand. May you rise to the canvas in rapture. May you lift your lens to what beholds you. May you flood the streets with your work, Knock on all doors, lift your veil and proceed with stealth and honor. Nothing is forbidden, freedom is your spouse. Lo, in a field of feathers the soul repositions a Chinese character of fortitude. Warm and sullen verve rises into the air turning to clay, ripe for your distant fingers. He who is busy not being born is busy dying. You who burn with ruby desires will penetrate, penetrate, penetrate the dormant heart." © A. R. Green 2001, revision © A. R. Green 2017
