About The Artwork
Once in China we found ourselves in a grove where bamboo was cutting down like a weed - it grew very violently there. And we went into such thickets. Among them was a dried bamboo and bamboo with leaves - all varieties of this plant. And among this variety of states of bamboo, I saw how a small leaf unfolds on a thin stalk - so it will soon come out and fully unfold, become completely even. It was a tiny sprout, a shoot, and I captured it here. Etching printed from copper plate size 74/49 sm (29,1/19,3'') Intaglio printing. Limited edition of 3. Imprint 2 from 3. Signed and numbered by the artists. Created in 2008. NOTE: Etching paper can wavy from changes in humidity and temperature, but don't worry - when you place the etching in the frame under the glass, it will flatten out. Or you can bring the etching in the framing workshop for alignment, while some paper will be cut off from the edges.
