"Blue" 2019 ink (Akua), paper, coal, oil pastel Monotype 1/1 Paper size 65x50 cm Image size 63x 45cm 24.8x17.7 inch These is my artworks performed in a unique technique of monotype. Here is what art historian, gallerist, and appraiser from New England, Michael Rose, says about my work "Blue" : "I loved the immersive quality of the core color in this monotype - a medium often referred to as “the painterly print”, because of its ability to capture the feeling of brushwork on a matrix. The color makes me think of Chagall and in that way gives the vase of flowers a particularly dreamlike quality. Warm light illuminates the bright flowers while the rest of the scene is totally saturated with rich blue. It just makes me happy to look at, something we could all use right now, no?" Signed on the front. Painting is sold unframed. Panting with a mat. Dispatching within is about 3- 7 working days I will be happy to create a unique custom piece in any size. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Valentina Gaychuk, I'm a professional artist, art teacher, and mother of four sons. I am a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, I actively draw and teach in my own art studio. I paint contrasting, textured oil paintings and thin, poetic monotypes. Art expands the boundaries of visible space, allows us to traverse to any place and time that we visited or crave to visit. That’s what I aspire to in my works. Painting in my small and cramped studio, I expand the space with my imagination and immerse into another world. The brighter the painting is - the stronger the emotions that I experienced. The essence of my artworks is not realism, but the depth of our feelings and memories. In the creating process, I like to feel the energy of various materials: to mix and explore their nature of the interaction, therefore my favorite artistic tool palette knives and oil with cold wax. I like to start each painting as if it were something new, guided by my intuition, often guided by color first, I start work spontaneously, depending on the place and moment in which I am. I want to show the beauty that I see in my daily life, which sometimes connected to nostalgia. My daily life, my family. I have four sons, who are often inspire me, as well as the place where I live; landscapes and places where I have been; photographs that I have seen or taken; emotions that I experienced. I attempt to pass pain and joy through my heart and express it all with my artworks. What I really value in art is the opportunity to reflect on canvas or carton something that touches one deeply in a free and sincere way. I want everyone to see how beautiful the world is. As people say, art is a mutual meditation with God. That’s what people write about my works: “I want to look and get bright impressions and emotions. This is what happens when I look at your work. They stop and communicate with me, and I think with everyone! ”
