About The Artwork

Lithography from my last series that I start after monthly artistic scholarship in Montreal, Canada. For first time this graphic was presented in my solo show called "Flu in the Circus" in Jan Fejkiel Gallery in april 2017. Then work was exhibited on group show of four young Polish printmakers called "Inner world" during International Print Triennial in Belgrade, Serbia.

Bartłomiej Chwilczyński (born 1987) is a visual artist and a printmaker. He deals mostly with the technique of stone lithography, but in addition works with painting, drawing and mix media. He works as an art teacher and a master printer in one of the oldest and finest Lithography Studios in Poland at the Graphic Department of Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland. In 2012 he graduated with a degree of Master of Arts from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland. Beginning in 2012 he enrolled in a PhD program in art studies. He received Artistic Scholarship of City of Cracow in 2014 and a Grand Prix in ‘Graphic of the Year’ competition in 2011. In his works he creates the abstract contemplative spaces. The individual interpretation is left to the viewer, an approach he encourages. He took a part in more than fifty exhibitions both home and aboard.
