About The Artwork
This original painting was completed in 2016 and depicts the impact of man’s presence upon both nature and the environment. A giant scythe cuts through the Earth’s terrain and animal kingdom. A cry from the right hand edge of the painting depicts the despair felt by man witnessing the consequences of his labours. Countless animals and landscape extracts are semi concealed by the artist after having been colourfully woven into the painting. In some cases a single image forms as many as three parts of different animals.
