The Dancing Roots series is inspired by connection. This connection is to our world of plants, roots, the sea, the world, and each other. Through connection we thrive and as community we make a difference. The simplicity of black and white imagery created by carving it out of linoleum or wood and printing on cotton paper, gives a rawness and immediacy that expresses these images beautifully.

My art is influenced by a deep love of dance, nature, and Spirit. It could be described as a dance on paper. My current style is otherworldly, alive, graphic, and stylized. The energy contained in a line can be quite profound. The qualities of movement, flow, and energetic pulse are what inspire my work. My process is to open first to what I call ‘Source’ and allow myself to become a channel for the expressive lines coming through. It is much the same as free dancing to music. With practice comes ease and fluidity.
