About The Artwork
Inspired by Warthol's lesser known work, 'Fate Presto', this is a reproduction of the New York Post from the day that Andy Warhol died in Manhattan at 6:32 a.m. on February 22, 1987. According to news reports, he had been making a good recovery from gallbladder surgery at New York Hospital before dying in his sleep from a sudden post-operative cardiac arrhythmia. Black gloss silkscreened onto mould-made, 100% Cotton, Acid free, Arches Noir paper, 250gsm Measuring 66cm x 82.5cm Supplied Unframed. Edition of 58, one for every year that Andy Warhol lived.
