About The Artwork
The image portrays a Kashmiri teenager lying on the hospital bed .She wished to become a doctor till her eyes were replaced with pellets.She was sixteen and full of dreams and opportunities, which were murdered by the state.I wish to wake up in the land of human beings someday and that is why I protest through my work and hope to bring a change. A dreamer died today, because she dreamt to be the savior. Her dreams were not violent, neither was her love. But, she died a violent death because peace has a price, which it took from her.
