This Limited Edition artwork is inspired by the drawings of the greatest ornithological artist of his era, Edward Lear. Edward Lear was an English artist, illustrator, musician, author and poet. He was an incredible spirit and is best known for his popular nonsense collections of poems, songs, short stories, botanical drawings, recipes and alphabets. Iceland born artist Kristjana S Williams studied graphic design and illustration at Central St Martins and quickly gained critical acclaim as Creative Director of Beyond the Valley for 8 years. In 2011 she began creating fine art pieces, illustrating books, designing interiors items and more. Her designs are inspired by nature and her technique involves digitally and physically layering nature upon nature to mirror the symmetry in all living things. Each piece is it's own magical universe of exotic botanicals and vibrant animals. Williams’ work has become well known throughout the industry winning numerous awards including a D&AD award, Clio Award and a first prize at New York Festivals Grand Prix. Her work can be found at The Victoria & Albert Museum, Penhaligons perfumeries and various galleries and hotels nationally and internationally. Most recently she designed the album artwork for Coldplays new live album 'A Head Full of Dreams: Live in Buenos Aires and Live in Sao Paulo'.
