TITLE: 'Jade' Edition 1 of 5 PRINT SIZE: 24"x24" This artwork is inspired by rice terrace landscapes, Japanese patterns, local California flowers (to the artist), and nature in general. The overall theme is to bring luck, good fortune, serenity, and balance. It is enhanced by the use of various green hues found from jade gem stones. There is a play on 'maru mon' patterns that you can see from use of circles and some floral work in a round shape. A heavy use of a version of 'seigaiha' is also found throughout. Lastly, there are ebb and flows within the abstract landscape which allow various parts of the painting to intertwine between background and foreground. This artwork is printed on archival Breathing Color Lyve 19 mil 450 gsm matte canvas. Each canvas is also coated with gloss varnish for an even finish as well as protection as if it were an original. ***This series will be available from 1 to 5 on canvas. Prints will be sent in order from 1 through 5. ***Gold leaf will be added after printing to match original paintings vibrance. ***All prints will have enough white around to use up to 1.5" deep stretcher bars. ***Will be sent rolled in a tube. ***Please note the room mock up image is not to scale.

Thien was born in Vietnam, Bien Hoa Dong Nai, northeast of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). His family came to the United States in 1992 when he was about 3 years old. Thien believes that growing up in a culturally diverse neighborhood helped him keep an open mind on how to live our daily lives as well as important factors/issues. He believes that has a big influence on how he creates his own artwork. Thien specializes in abstract landscapes, mostly involving mountainous terrain because of their natural abstract shapes. āā
