About The Artwork
This fine art paper print of the lobby of Jerusalem YMCA is the result of many Digital Free Hand painting journeys in Jerusalem. All my drawings are made on my smartphone screen from direct view. While visiting the beautiful YMCA building with its magnificent tower, I pulled my Note 8 smartphone out of my pocket and couldn't resist painting it. I was particularly impressed by the beautiful Prussian blue and turquoise colors of the pdome shape ceiling. I am a painter and doctor in physics who shares his time between painting and science. The colorfulness and light in my paintings drew on my childhood in East Africa. In recent years I have developed a Digital Free Hand Drawing technique using a smart phone screen. For the past two years, my smart phone has been used to document six cities around Israel through 600 drawings.
