ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration for this etching was a life sized bronze statue that I saw in Athen's Museum, Greece. I loved the feeling of energy and joy that the leaping horse and it's boy rider exhibit, and I wanted to capture it's energy in the drawing. I used a traditional technique and drew the image onto a hard wax ground with an etching needle onto a copper plate, etched it in acid, then each print was individually hand printed in a limited edition.
