Renata Dyk is a contemporary Fine Artist currently residing in Poland. Her ingenious ‘Mannekin’ works began after seeing a number of them being sent to landfill and she instinctively knew these would make perfect canvases. With previous experience of painting and selling large scale 3D forms at an art exhibition in Cairo this seemed the natural step forwards. After being commissioned by a fashion company in Poland to create a bespoke ‘Mannekin’ this led to the demand for photographic imagery of these mannequins or part thereof. The ‘Mannekins’ themselves work beautifully as a piece of art in a sculptural form and lend themselves easily to both contemporary and old estate homes. These are, if you like, the contemporary suits of armour on display to show beauty, craftsmanship and status. Equally, the photographic images of whole and part ‘Mannekin’ are striking and work as a single piece or as a set in fashionable interiors.
