Pink Popping Out Print - Limited Edition of 1

Fine Art Digital Monoprint 1/1 of an Encaustic Monoprint. This piece was part of a series of prints using heavyweight watercolor papers some of which were pre-painted using Liquitex Spray paints. The paper here was first spray painted in purple and pink.The spray paint interferes with the absorption of the wax into the paper allowing the wax to slide over the paper when brayered in from the backside. Like all the encaustic work I do this piece was created on a heated table at 190F. Clear HD encaustic media which is purified beeswax and damar resin a hardener were coated to the steel table top.. Only two shades were used black and white allowing the colors behind the wax to pop out of the piece. These colors mix to form gray and the black breaks into black foam micelles which add tremendous textures.The black migrates the fastest in the melt state and within the clear HD encaustic breaks into these small micelle structures. Photographed in high resolution, color intensity and balance were adjusted. Pink does pop out. The piece has a great depth of field due to the way it was created. A decidedly feminine feeling piece. The open space and colors pushing forward create a feeling of energy which is a common theme in my work. Printed to the back of acrylic glass by the German Printer Whitewall Photo and dibond backed with an aluminum and foam panel this is a durable piece of large wall art. It comes complete with wall hanging hardware gallery style installed. Other framing options are available, inquire.
