Canvas also available through artist. The sea princess accompanied by a leafy sea dragon on their quest for lost treasures. Being a lifelong surfer and lover of the ocean and the female form, it’s natural that at some point I’d paint my interpretation of a mermaid. This one was jointly inspired by my fascination with the graceful dance of jellyfish, and also by a portrait taken by the underwater photographer, Sheryl Walsh.

About the Artist Award-winning oil painter Paul Bond was born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently lives and works in Southern California and Costa Rica. Paul Bond's art lives in the spaces between dreaming and reality. Drawing from the Latin American genre of Magic Realism, his paintings merge symbolic, surreal and fantastic elements with realistic atmospheres to unveil a world where everything is possible. At times, they simply express a whimsical aspect of life.
