Skydivers at Night-Parachutistes dans la Nuit - Limited Ed of 10 Print

Silkscreen prints of a limited edition, inspired by small colored pictures, from an artist named Jennifer Bolande, with whom I once collaborated. This is my own rendition of this image. I tried to imagine these skydivers holding hands and descending into the night and encountering abyssal shapes. Not an empty abyss but one full of unexpected shapes and experiences. I always imagine the experience of skydiving, as probably a strange one for the human mind and of course the human body. Something that must resemble the unexpected images encountered as we sleep, came to my mind, as I worked on this artwork. I imagine them jumping at night and joining hands in hands, as if they were to face some unexpected images emerging, like visual and auditory hallucinations they would have to face together, during their collective experience These are hand printed copies, with oil-based inks, on a good quality of paper. In the last step of printing, some areas have been covered with a varnish.
