Description: This aerial view is about circulation and movement in the city. The main buildings of the Southbank Centre are surrounded by several types of transport: railways to the West, the Waterloo bridge for traffic and pedestrians to the East; to the North the pier for boats on the river with the popular and familiar embankment and to the South, a large pedestrian area including a large fountain in the direction to Waterloo station. All of which I wanted to capture to show the indoors and the outdoors in constant dialogue for the enjoyment of any visitor as it was the intention when these buildings were designed.Medium: Etching, open acid bite, aquitaineYear Created: 2009
