About The Artwork
Staloluokta is the name of a lake and a village that we passed making a hiking tour in the summer of 2003. Looking in the distance for cairns and red paint on a stone we followed a path. The color of the lake I remember well, a bird now and then and the reindeer. One surprised us from close and later on I found a lost pair of antlers. Yellow is the color you see inside our small tent. I saw gold looking layers in some stones. Inspired by Robert Rauschenberg, these elements are in the work.
