Still Life with Hammer Print

Monotype is a technique of applying ink on the plate with a roller, a brush, or other tools available, and then printing it directly onto the paper. This means that there is always just one copy of the piece, and that the result is always surprising. It also means that out of the many attempts, I usually only find a few to be good enough to be shared with the world. For this print I looked around in my studio, which is also and actually mostly - a sculpture studio, and responded to tools hanging on the wall. I rearranged them to a composition in my mind and on the plate. PLEASE NOTE: the dimensions are of the printed area and not of the paper.
