About The Artwork

Original artwork inspired by natural elements and abstraction, with accentuated texture and movement. Unique, one-of-a-kind Mono Screenprinted on Somerset Tub Sized Satin 310 gsm acid-free pape Marie’s series of mono-screen prints are done very freely, in search of creating interesting fluidity between colours and textures. Due to the nature of “Monoprinting”, which allows you to only create one-off fine art printing, this is a one of a kind artwork.

Marie is a London-based contemporary artist and printmaker, known for her vivid portrayals of mountain landscapes and organic abstracts. Driven by colour and texture, her work seeks to draw viewers in with carefully curated compositions before captivating them with the fine details of the paint strokes or pixels. Originally from Belgium (Born in Pakistan), Marie was raised in South America and has been living in London since 2015. These experiences gifted her with a deep love and respect for travel, culture and the natural world, which continue to inspire her craft. Through a combination of photography, design and printmaking, her work draws on these inspirations, re-transmitting the energy and emotion of exploration into our daily lives. Marie’s practice continues to evolve. Most recently, she has been experimenting with mono-screen printing, a one-off fine art printing technique that uses a blank screen to create “painterly” screen prints. The combination printing and painting allows her to create unpredictable and truly unique artworks. Marie will be exhibiting in the 2023 March edition of The Other Art Fair.
