This special edition was produced by fine art printmakers Harwood King working with the artist to develop a new mixed media style of print based on the artist's original collage. The print involved 4 processes, giclee print elements, flouro silkscreen, and gloss detail. The prints are hand finished by the artist with foil. 46 degrees North, the latitude of the Alps, is the locale for the artist’s focus on climate change and the delicate balance of glacial landscapes. The South Face presents a playful exploration of colour, pattern, form and media, exploring the line between abstraction and figurative art. Featuring the mountains and lakes of the French and Swiss Alps, this work celebrates areas of natural beauty in a time of environmental change. The peony and rose in the collage are from photographs taken at Monet's garden in Giverny, referencing one of the most iconic landscapes in modern art.

Tamar Payne’s mixed media collages and photography present a fractured viewpoint and the visual tension in an image saturated digital world, where our gaze and sensibilities are divided by the urban and the suburban, the industrial and the rural, the analogue and the digital. The artist’s source material is often captured using an SLR camera and then realised using hand-pulled silkscreen print. In her work the artist acknowledges the visual language of the decorative and the sublime. The work uses visual affect to pull the viewer in to taking a closer look, seducing the viewer into the pictorial space, through the looking glass of landscape. Tamar Payne completed an MA in Fine Art practice at Brighton and postgraduate study at Chelsea School of Art, UAL. She has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer exhibition, the Affordable Art Fair and group shows in London. Tamar had her first solo show in Autumn 2022 at the Rupture Exhibit Gallery in Kingston, West London.
