About The Artwork
The people of Torun is part of a printmaking exhibition I had in 2011, triggered by a trip to this fascinating medieval city in Poland. Torun is the birthplace of Copernicus and gingerbread, but I was impressed by its brick architecture and street art. One of these latter installations consisted of small ceramic characters placed inside niches on an old wall, and these are rendered in this original linocut print. The original has been sold, but due to its graphic qualities, I believe glicee prints will be high quality works as well.
