About The Artwork
This hand-pulled etching features legs trapped in a net, constraining their natural function, our movement. A special printmaking technique called 'spit-bite' was used to create this water color effect on the legs. The image is printed by hand on archival white paper Rives BFK, 15 x 22 inches, in edition of 10. The image size is 9 x 18 inches. Artist's signature, date and edition size appears below the image.

Born in the Czech Republic, Katerina Kyselica received a Master Degree from Charles University in Prague. In 2006, she received BFA from VCU School of the Arts in Richmond, Virginia, after relocating to the US. She currently lives and works in New York City where she studied printmaking at Manhattan Graphics Center - intaglio with Vijay Kumar and lithography with Arnold Brooks. Her fine art prints, collages and mixed media works on paper, represented in private collections, have been exhibited in shows in New York, Paris (France) and Prague (the Czech Republic).
