In “Vin mécanique”, a lightly appeared Soviet tractor (БЕЛАРУС-512) symbolize my travel memories of wine harvesting in Georgia: one of the oldest wine regions in the world.

Following the Soviet period, wine sector plays a key economical role of the establishment of the modern Georgian republic in 1991.

Traditional grape harvesting is either with bare hands or with special scissors; harvested grapes are then put into buckets to be taken away by old Soviet tractors.

In “Vin mécanique”, my memories limited with two round shapes by reflex on clockwork. A branch of grape vine on the right round could see as a watch crown. The title of the work inspired from the 1970’s well known film A Clockwork Orange (Orange Mécanique).
