We were cowboys and killed Him - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Print

This monotype builds on childish motif, belief and wonder. I have combined flat colour with textured brushsrokes and patterns to create a compositional space for the characters to 'live' on the paper. This monotype draws on my faith again. The cowboy figure comes from an outline of my dad as a little boy dressed as a cowboy and engaged in roleplay at a National Trust property. This figure has become a motif in my work to depict us all playing at cowboys.. I've included a non distinct character to question faith and suggest that it was us who killed Him. The towel is a suggestion of healing and life. This print comes packaged in cellophane in a C3 Do Not Bend envelope with stiffened cardboard.
