Architectural Stone, Ocean Wave Restoration Sculpture

Architectural Restoration of Ocean Wave at Market & Stockton, San Francisco. Limestone. 1994 A one inch relief is viewed from the street at an angle upward of 75 degrees [70 ft high] which gives 'one inch' great depth. I had to be very good at 're-creating the wheel' because every step of the original stone carver had to be figured out or the 'piece' or restoration would be different than the original. Re-creating 'the steps' took two weeks. After which I had to call in a 'finish stone carver' because I was a 'form stone carver'. When we were all finished 'they' painted the whole building pink. Which upset me to no end.
