Assembled pavers 1 Sculpture

Crystals are perpetual structures. Same atoms at the same place, again and again. The decryption of those structures uses symmetry to find the primitive cell and its infinite repetition. This part of my work is "Photo-geometric Macrocrystal". I create repetitive networks (crystals) on our scale (macro) interacting with light (photo). It is a mix between crystallography and geometrical optics to give a modulation too our visual perception. Shapes and colors "don't follow the same perspective" (they have not the same primitive cell). It is a kind of optical illusion based on physics. Those sculptures are composed by acrylic glass pavers alongside one another. Each Pavers is the shape primitive cell.
