About The Artwork
The wood for this piece came from a huge Bay Laurel that had come down during a storm in Oregon. I try whenever possible to re-purpose materials giving--in this case--a tree a second life. The wood is hand carved, painted and clear coated. The steel is forged into the shape I want and given a black patina and clear coated.
