About The Artwork

The beach near my home on the North Shore of Boston has golden sand and lots of rocks and shells. Down the beach, there are usually several people out enjoying a walk. I imagine them each to be in a separate state of meditation or reverie. These walks have always been very important to me for processing the events of life. Created using polymer clay tiles embedded with abalone shells on wood panel. The piece is not intended to be framed. Caution should be used while handling back of piece, as fasteners have sharp tines, but they will not contact the surface of the wall.
