About The Artwork
Inspired by Barbara Hepworth's stone sculptures, I carved this sculpture from Portland lime stone. A soft rock from the south coast of the UK. The shape of the sculpture is a result of the exploration into distorted human form through collages. The sculpture aims to manipulate social discourses and to explore the engendered shapes within the form. It becomes an androgynous shape.
