About The Artwork

This maquette titled 'Bluey' was inspired by the collection at the Ashmolean Gallery in Oxford. After visiting the collection I had a visceral sensation back in my studio of being connected to a creative root energy that runs through the centuries and across cultures. I am one small part of a long lineage of artist makers and this sculpture is a small nodal point in that chain. My finger prints rise up from the table top in clay have been translated into bronze. The original sculpture was cast at the Royal College of Art in 2023 during my masters program, and an edition of 12 + 1AP is available. These sculptures are priced so that each one I sell affords me one month's rent in my art studio. Buy buying Bluey you provide me with the opportunity to keep making new works and I will add you to the list of collectors with a first option on the next sculptural iteration. Please note lead time is 8-10 weeks for each edition made.
