Bone Sculpture

Spanish artist Carmma, describes himself as a agressive sensorial artist. Dead and fallen trees are the primary materials as well acrylic materials and electronic devices are utilised thoughtfully in his artworks that insightfully respond to the way he connect and interact with both natural and built environments. Carmma aims to raise awareness of these environments by highlighting aspects of human and environmental interactions. His work is developed and strengthened through numerous site visits (dehesas, mounts, natural parks) such as weathered discarded timber which predominate his current body of work. Through the assemblage of diverse and contrasting materials, strengthfull colours and new technologies, the work also encourages participation on a more tactile and sensory level.
