About The Artwork

Alexander Calder, the artistic genius whose great works included mobile creations which were decades ahead of their time, was a major source of inspiration for the drawing which appeared in the binary options news of February 14, 2013 from OptionsClick on http://blog.optionsclick.com/2013/02/14/usd-soars-and-asian-stocks-at-18-month-high . More about Calder: Calder moved to Paris in 1926, and there he visited the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. In the Montparnasse Quarter, he then set up a studio at 22 rue Daguerre. While sailing from Paris to New York in June of 1929, Calder met Louisa James (1905-1996), who turned out to be his future wife. She happened to be the grandniece of William James, the philosopher, and Henry James, the author. Alexander Calder and Louisa James married in 1931. Calder got to know, and befriended a bunch of avant-garde artists in Paris. These included Jean Arp, Marcel Duchamp and Joan Miró. In 1933, Mr. and Mrs. Calder returned to America, to live in a farmhouse in Roxbury, Connecticut, which they had bought. There, they raised a family (Sandra, born in 1935, and Mary, born in 1939). Alexander and Louisa Calder journeyed across parts of India for three months in 1955. There, Calder created some jewellery and nine sculptures. Calder moved into his new workshop Carroi in 1962, which was designed futuristically. The location, in France, had vistas of the valley of the Lower Chevrière to Saché in Indre-et-Loire. He was happy to avail his small mobiles and gouaches to friends of his in the countryside. He also made a donation of a stabile trônant (an anti-sculpture free from gravity) to the town. It has been situated in front of the church since 1974. Irrespective of their eventual display destination, Calder named many of his works in French during his career as an artist. With the assistance of Jean Davidson, his son-in-law, Calder published his Autobiography with Pictures, in 1966. Alexander Calder passed away without warning on November 11, 1976. It was just a brief time after a major retrospective show of his works opened at New York's Whitney Museum.

I am a binary options trading artist. The majority of my work-day online is spent reviewing graphs and data and then using that information to trade binary options and the best way I have found to accomplish that is to have some form of distraction so that your mind neurosis don't result in poor decisions. So I draw this art and publish it online, as I don't see the point of drawing something that is not going to be shared with the world. Some sites syndicate my work.
