About The Artwork

On Panpsychism: Musings on Ramsbert Beagletronics V's the Cosmic Handbags of Gobekli Tepe Blah Blah Black sheep The talking handbags in Beagles & Ramsey's 'Who owns the cheese' I see the Aboriginal view of things "a landscape where even the rocks and stones have names" everything is conscious, has personality, has spirit, is connected and aware. Transcended through space time and hesitating at the commodity, hesitating at the now, is invoking some ancient spirit or consciousness, is carrying within it the Spectres of previous handbags, all alive with the spirits of dogs and cats, and cows and sheep and frogs and humans. Each spectre coming to bear on how the handbags experience the world as is. The cybernetics, the cut-up, the day dream, the automatic, the hyper object, connected to all things, chattering to all things on the sub-conscious level, cell chatter, spirit chatter, spectre chatter. the Ouroboros 'always returning' - the handbag has been here forever, the handbag will be here forever, a metaphorical container, a void travelling through space time, hesitating at us, but continuing on into the next civilization, indifferent to us. These ancient handbag spirits are labouring over the same issues of existentialism and human subjugation as we are today. Consumption is the pinnacle of our civilization as it crests the wave and heads for the abyss, the handbag, that simple accessory, superfluous and pretty. The handbags conclude with 'down, down, down we go', invoking the question of yet another civilization in decline, Are we in the death throws of the Anthropocene era? Invoking the ancient stone carved Gobeki Tepe handbag-beings same deliberations as they watched the end off their civilization to the Biblical flooding, Gobeki Tepe, built on a hillock, containing rudimentary information about farming, on high ground...accessible by Ark, Handbags carved into stone tableture, entombed in soil to preserve against the rising sea level. The Relic, the Future Relic! The space time travelling handbags of Gobeki Tepe! Dam it! They know we are doomed! The writings on the fucking wall!
