“Close to the end” Sculpture

“Close to the end” (epoxy, polyurethane, aluminium pole, acrylic) is work consisting of a group of sculptures showing 13 living and one dead marten in natural size. It is a diorama where every individual marten sculpture is different in colour as well as in character. In accordance with this, every marten faces the death of its family member in a different way. In this work, I deal with the contrast of life and death, which interweaves with the contrast of materialism and spiritualism. The name itself also suggests the issues the stylized marten is faced with, but also, every association with the Croatian currency is not by accident.
