Ceramic group composed of two heads facing each other. Colour blindness is a physical condition where people cannot perceiver or differentiate colours. One that loves also cannot see or differentiate the object of his or hers love. Some times it has to do with the biological need to protect and cherish blood or family. Other time it has to do with the ability some have to see past superficial differences: colour, gender, nationality, physical or mental ability... This piece belongs to a series inspired in the idea focal to cartoon that "a image equals 1000 words". By choosing the human nature as subject matter, the identification is immediate but still open to a infinitive possibilities of interpretation. This is the main reason the sculptor choose ceramic as medium since it allows for a quick and fresh approach to the vital elements that compose a face: eyes, nose and mouth.

Sandra Borges is born in 1979 in Lisbon. The sculptor mostly based her work on human behavior. Sometimes looking through the stereotypes, sometimes through the eyes of a individual, it is always about how one's personality is formed and how one relates to the other and in society. Working only with Portuguese stone (marbles, limestone`s and breccia), she also mix it with other media if the idea demands it. The result is very personal way to make art objects that link the tradition of stone carving to other materials and plastic languages.
