About The Artwork
a thing of beauty; the structure is made of willow branches and papier-mâché, and salvaged glass marbles to weigh it down. The outer skin features quills, domes, and cones that I crafted using a variety of materials, including black and white images from the New Yorker, text paper from the same magazine, and even pages from an old Bible and dictionary. I made sure to match the color of the seeds to the gradient, and topped off the willow branches with inverted tentacles and white receipt paper tips.
