About The Artwork
A diorama that depicts a railway station in the countryside of western Taiwan. Much of the scene is inspired from photographs of Taiwan taken during the 60s and from childhood memories of riding on a train down the island. Various characters were hand sculpted to depict the activities seen in rural life. All the contents except for the train tracks and freight cars were created by the artist from scratch.
