Shapes become spaces, spaces dissolve into shapes. The simple design language of the sculptures appear familiar. Stairs, parapets, passages, ramps, openings as doors and windows. Decorative set pieces and symbolic references are avoided. One can say that the art lies in the omission to the strict geometric to emphasize the outlines of the sculptures. The confrontation of the viewer with the objects is awakened by the scaleless arrangements of the elements. The viewer is transported into a surreal reality that seems out of this world. Irritation arises in the viewer. Own spatial experiences cannot be brought in. The room sequences chosen by the artist have nothing to do with the well-known or usable built reality in common. You mentally go into them. Whether one comes out as the one, the one was before is very doubtful. Air voids, cement streaks, traces of the boarding can be seen on the surface or a painterly patina caused by the seeping water. The natural ambivalence of the material has nothing to do with our daily gaze to do on concrete surfaces, they are not brittle, repellent or impenetrable. The surfaces are alive and natural. The sketchy design work on paper preceding the concrete pour is the actual artistic creation process. This is followed by the creation of the mold formwork for the sculpture. However, these two creative processes remain hidden from the viewer. The sculptures have their own aura.
